The Red Emma's Worker/Community Education Project

We recently started a new initiative, designed to both help new worker-owners get up to speed with the way we've structured the project to put our principles into practice, but also to provide a space for members of the general public to learn more about the political and social committments that make our project tick.  Our aim is to repeat a whole series of basic one evening introductions to key topics like workplace democracy, consensus decision making, and food/coffee politics twice yearly, with the courses scheduled through the Baltimore Free School to make them available to folks outside the process of becoming worker-owners at Red Emma's as well.

Stay tuned for updates on the next course, but in the meantime, here's the presentation for the first run of the worker cooperative intro.
