Where do your events take place?
Most of our events take place in our bookstore and cafe space at 30 W. North Ave. Depending on the anticipated size of the audience, they may happen either in the main space or in the smaller classroom/workshop space.
We also co-sponsor many events at our sister collective space, 2640, and occasionally elsewhere in the city.
No. Baltimore is lucky to have many wonderful independent small music venues, including many in the immediate vicinity of our space, so we tend to focus on the kind of events that have a harder time finding a place to happen, like political talks and author events.
Events at Red Emma's itself are almost always free.
