A People's History of the United States (P.S.)

Zinn's signature work, seminal in the teaching of US History from outside the dominant, status quo-maintaining paradigm.  Zinn, his colleague Anthony Arnove, and others produced a number of related works, and writers have approached various topics from a similar “People's History of...” framework.
